"Is
Working From Home Right for Everyone?"
by: Nancy

Many individuals approach the idea of a
Home Based Business the same way they approach a garage sale.
They want something for next to nothing. Some people have the idea that
working from home on the Internet is not really working. Sort of “set it
and forget it” type of business. If this is the type of business you
want, then expect to make little or no money.
I don’t want to burst your bubble, but home-based businesses take work
and dedication to make them work.
For instance, did you know that Internet Marketing has the largest
growing segment of people working at home? It is expanding faster than
the laws of most countries can keep up. It is entrepreneurship at its
best and worst.
With so many people working from home the competition for recognition
and advertising space is fierce. Not to mention finding a legitimate
home based business with which you can start. Everyone who has done any
shopping online knows the number of Internet sites that provide the same
item for a wide variety of prices. It is not like going into your local
store and purchasing an item, knowing they have the best price in town.
You have to search for what you want.
Searching for the right home based business takes time and research. Do
not jump into any program without first knowing what is involved in
making money with the program. If a program asks for money up front,
like a lot of the legitimate survey companies, it doesn’t mean they are
scams. Why do they require a sign up fee?
I don’t want to discourage anyone from working at home, I do it myself,
and quite successfully. I want anyone reading this article to understand
that no one gets rich overnight. Those big checks you are being promised
will not happen without work and determination.
Having said all…ask yourself a couple of questions. Why do I want to
work from home? What type of business would I be comfortable with?
If you are the type of person who needs the interaction of other people,
then a home based business might not be right for you.
If you are the opposite and are content working alone, then a home
business might be right for you. The freedom a home-based business gives
a person of this type is unlimited.
That’s not to say that either personality cannot succeed at working from
home. The first type of person will need to learn to create his or her
own motivation. How they do that is up to the individual.
Self-motivation and a desire to succeed are key ingredients for a
successful home based business. A person needs to push themselves out of
their “comfort” levels when working from home. There will be no one
telling you to sit at your computer and do a specific task. You have to
set the tasks and see that they are done. YOU ARE YOUR OWN BOSS!
The level of your achievement is entirely up to you. It depends on the
time and effort you are willing to spend to achieve your goals. No one
else can do it but you. You will be the boss, office assistant,
secretary, the accountant, bookkeeper, etc. You will gain a huge amount
of business knowledge when you finally make that commitment to work from
home.
Remember why you want to work from home, write down the pros and cons,
if that helps. Always remember the YOUR FUTURE SUCCESS IS ENTIRELY UP TO
YOU!
